CBS 2 morning anchor, Randy Salerno,45, died last night while snowmobiling with friends.

Salermo’s snowmobile broke down and he was picked up right away by a friend, Scott Hirschey.

Already into Scott’s snowmobile, the owner lost control and hit several trees.

He was thrown from the vehicle and struck a tree. All alone in the car, Randy took the full force of the impact.

According to the department: “Alcohol and speed are believed to be a factor in the crash.”

“He was so laid back” , “. . .”He was like, ‘dude whatever, it will get done.’ ” said news anchor Robin Baumgarten.
